I study at Los Altos High School, a comprehensive public school of about 2,170 students in the heart of Silicon Valley. I have loaded my schedule with the hardest courses I can find — from Algebra II Honors as a ninth-grader to a run of AP classes across disciplines — and my classes regularly spill into the rest of the day: research at the school's Advanced Scientific Investigation capstone, meetings for the student TEDx chapter, and late rallies on the tennis courts.
